Beauty Tips: Different Natural Facial Masks to Choose from

i find this different natural facial masks that you can do at home.

The kind of the mask you want to use depends on your skin type.

For dry skin, try:

  • an egg yolk mixed with olive oil and warmed honey
  • sour cream
  • plain olive oil
  • avocado

For oily skin:

  • dissolve a teaspoon of baking yeast in a small amount of warm milk, wait until foamy, then apply (best done in the bath tub);
  • puree flesh of a tomato and mix with some potato flour to make a paste;
  • cucumber (it will whiten your skin);
  • beaten egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice (great for getting rid of blackheads);
  • carrots (but don't use this one more than about every other week because it can overdry your skin). This one will make you look tanned.

General refreshing masks:

  • grapes (just cut a berry in half and rub lightly)
  • strawberries (test behind your ear first, because many people are allergic to strawberries  used this way even though they can eat them just fine)
  • honey and ricotta cheese

Many fruits and vegetables can also be used to good effect. Anything acidic (lemon, strawberries, etc) will tend to whiten and refresh your skin, but you need to be careful if your skin is dry.

In general, don't apply masks more often than about twice a week, and try to vary the ingredients.

It is a good idea to test the mask first. Apply a small amount behind your ear, wait 20 minutes, then wash off. Then wait 24 hours. If the skin behind your ear is normal, then go ahead and use the mask.

Tips for whitening your teeth

  Brush your teeth at least twice a day with whitening toothpaste
   to maintain your whitened teeth.

   Unlike the teeth whitening procedures, performed by a dentist
   that may whiten your teeth up to 15 shades, at-home bleaching products
   may whiten your teeth from one to three shades,
   depending on the tooth’s discoloration.

   If your teeth are too dark and you experience much discomfort
   during the treatments, consider porcelain veneers on specific discolored teeth.

   Baking soda can be used to whiten teeth at home but be very careful –
   use only a small amount of baking soda and brush your teeth with it
   thoroughly twice a week.

   Quit smoking in order to prevent future teeth discoloration.
   It’s essential to maintain excellent oral hygiene to maximize the longevity
   of the whitening treatment.

   Many dentists advice to use a straw when drinking soft drinks, coffee,
   tea as it may increase the chance of staining.

Whitening strips: Whitening strips are a common type of at-home teeth whitening as they lighten teeth effectively and are easy to use and convenient. Whitening strips are also effective in maintaining a bright smile and healthy teeth. They effectively remove surface stains, but they also protect the enamel from build-up of everyday stains. Most of the whitening strips are coated with a bleaching gel (peroxide-based gel) that lightens the teeth in one or two shade if used regularly. Like the whitening toothpastes, the whitening strips don’t change the tooth’s structure. The strips are easy to apply and can be used twice a day for gradual whitening. Most of the whitening strips shouldn’t be left on for more than 5-10 minutes, otherwise it may result in tooth sensitivity or gum discomfort. The result usually becomes apparent after the first days of usage and can last up for 2/ 3 months.
