Tips on how to Minimize Pores in Face

minimize pores

I myself have obvious pores especially on inner cheeks, there are several ways to minimize your pores, this is just some of what I've researched on.

There exists no permanent way to close pores; however the use of a good toner after cleansing your face helps to close them temporarily.

-Fundation.Apply a foundation to hide the open pores. The foundation also acts as a protective layer between your skin and any pollutants. This is possibly the best way to conceal open pores in a hurry.

-Tomato Juice. However if you do not use make up then tomato acts as a good toning agent as well. Apply tomato juice to your skin regularly with a piece of cotton and leave it on for about 20 minutes each time. The tomato helps in shrinking the pores by reducing the sebum production and thus the pores open less and appear smaller.

-Mashed Papaya. You can also try mashed papaya; apply it directly to your skin and wash it off with Luke warm water after a while.

-Ice(my own remedy). Finally one the effective and best ways to close pores in a hurry is to rub a piece of ice or an ice cube wrapped in a cloth to your skin. The cold from the ice cube helps shrink the pore openings and also helps decrease the oil (sebum) production for a small amount of time.

-Other Tips.Avoid consuming foods that are high in fats and spices and drink a lot of water daily, its keeps your body healthy and sebum production levels lower.

Hair Care Tips For You!

Want to have softer and shiny hair? Here are some tips for you!

Fabric Softener
Dried-on overspray from hair spray can be tough to remove from walls and vanities, but even a buildup of residue is no match for a solution of 1 part liquid fabric softener to 2 parts water. Stir to blend, pour into a spray bottle, spritz the surface, and polish it with a dry cloth.

Liquid fabric softener diluted in water and applied after shampooing can untangle and condition fine, flyaway hair, as well as curly, coarse hair. Experiment with the amount of conditioner to match it to the texture of your hair, using a weaker solution for fine hair and a stronger solution for coarse, curly hair. Comb through your hair and rinse.

Mayonnaise
Hold the mayo … and massage it into your hair and scalp just as you would any fine conditioner! Cover your head with a shower cap, wait several minutes, and shampoo. The mayonnaise will moisturize your hair and give it a lustrous sheen.

Olive Oil
Is your hair as dry and brittle as sagebrush in the desert? Put the moisture back into it by heating 1/2 cup olive oil (don't boil it), and then liberally applying it to your hair. Cover your hair with a plastic grocery bag, then wrap it in a towel. Let it set for 45 minutes, then shampoo and thoroughly rinse.

Did you get almost as much paint in your hair as you did on the walls in your last paint job? You can easily remove that undesirable tint by moistening a cotton ball with some olive oil and gently rubbing it into your hair. The same approach is also effective for removing mascara -- just be sure to wipe your eyes with a tissue when done.

Vinegar
Want to put the life back into your limp or damaged hair? You can whip up a terrific hair conditioner by combining 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar with 2 tablespoons olive oil and 3 egg whites. Rub the mixture into your hair, then keep it covered for 30 minutes using plastic wrap or a shower cap. When time's up, shampoo and rinse as usual.

Tips For Lip Care

When I have cracked lips, i tend to use petroleum jelly or moisturizing lips stick to able to prevent lips from cracking but is there other ways? much better? here are some of the tips that I've researched on:

Taking care of lips is a two-fold process - hydrating them and sealing the moisture in. Hydration of lips can be undertaken by using lip balms and skin moisturizers containing Vitamin E or aloe Vera. Avoid licking your lips to avoid dehydration of lips. Drink plenty of water in dry weather to keep the body and skin adequately hydrated. Lips do not produce oil like our skin, because they have no oil producing glands. The skin on our lips is actually mucous membrane, so for them to remain smooth and chap free is a bit of a challenge.
The most common cause of cracked lips are allergic reaction to cosmetics, skin infections, extreme weather conditions like excess sun and wind exposure, biting of the lips or a vitamin B deficiency. The tips listed below are to aid you in keeping your lips soft and smooth. Following these tips would also help prevent cracking and chapping of lips.

Avoid over exposure to sun and use a lip balm containing sun-block when going outside.
Keep yourself well hydrated by drinking lots of water.
Avoid frequent lip licking.
Protect the lips from weather by applying heavy plain cream.
Take vitamin B, C foods in diet.
Always apply a natural lip balm to protect your lips.
Avoid smoking.

Remarkable Hair Care Tips

Baking Soda
When it comes to personal grooming, too much of a good thing can spell bad news for your hair. But a thorough cleansing with baking soda at least once a week will wash all of the gunk out of your hair. Simply add 1 tablespoon soda to your hair while shampooing. In addition to removing all the chemicals you put in your hair, it will wash away water impurities, and may actually lighten your hair.

Beer
Put some life back into flat hair with some flat beer. Before you get into the shower, mix 3 tablespoons beer in 1/2 cup warm water. After you shampoo your hair, rub in the solution, let it set for a couple of minutes, then rinse it off. You may be so pleased by what you see, you'll want to keep a six-pack in the bathroom.

Tea
To give a natural shine to dry hair, use a quart (liter) of warm, unsweetened tea (freshly brewed or instant) as a final rinse after your regular shampoo.

Butter
Is your hair dry and brittle? Try buttering it up for a luxuriant shine. Massage a small chunk of butter into your dry hair, cover it with a shower cap for 30 minutes, then shampoo and rinse thoroughly.

Castor Oil
For healthy, shiny hair, mix 2 teaspoons castor oil with 1 teaspoon glycerin and one egg white. Massage it into your wet hair, wait several minutes, and wash out.

Causes Of Chapped Or Cracked Lips

I experience cracking of lips oftentimes, I use differetn solutions but it keeps coming back, why are we getting cracked lips??? I've researched and they say that main causes for chapped lips are:

Lip licking - This is a habit that can lead to chapping of lips on account of the loss of natural oils. The chemicals in saliva work on the sensitive skin on the lips and causes them to chap.

Smoking - The natural oil from the lips is lost due to smoking

Dry weather - Living in a dry place can make your skin parched and craving for hydration. It is essential to get enough water to keep your skin and lips adequately hydrated.

Outdoors - The sun and wind also have a drying effect on your skin and lips. Sunburn can also cause chapping.

Vitamin deficiencies - Deficiency of riboflavin or other Vitamin B group or iron can lead to chapped lips.

Other causes - Allergic reaction to cosmetics such as lipstick or lip gloss. Ill-fitting dentures and lip biting can lead to chapping of lips. A diet lacking in essential fatty acids can also lead to chapped and dry lips.

Chapped Lips - Dry Lips

A beautiful smile lights up a day. It makes your face more beautiful and lively. Your lips are the most important and exquisitely sensitive part of your body. And therefore you have to take special care of your lips. Soft and smooth lips figure among the foremost indicators of physical beauty. The skin on lips lack oil glands; hence they tend to get dry and cracked easily. You have to take special care of your lips to maintain its requisite moisture level. Your lips need special attention during winter.

We all more or less suffer from dry and chapped lips, especially during the winter months. Your lips are very sensitive to sun, dry indoor climate, wind and cold weather. Since our lips don't produce fat, they get dry and chapped. That's why you should apply fat during the day. Chapped lips can be a sign of fever or bronchitis, but may also be caused by lack of fluid. You should drink enough water during the day, up to two liters per day. Coffee is dehydrating, so don't count the coffee into the two liters.

Lips are one of the most exposed areas of our skin. Lips have an extremely thin outer layer and few oil-producing glands, which can lead to excessive dryness. They also contain very little melanin and, without protection, can quickly become burnt. The sun can also impact the collagen in your lips. Collagen is a protein that prevents wrinkle development around the lips. Constant exposure to the sun can lead to undesirable and premature aging. And remember, the sun can be just as harmful during the winter months as it is during the summer months. The most important step you can take to achieving the healthiest lips ever is to protect them from the sun. The best protection against sun damage is a water resistant lip balm that keeps lips moist and has an SPF of 15 percent or higher. Extreme weather can also lead to chapped and flaking lips.
